Alex was having one of the best rounds of the day, going out in -4 and reaching the top 20. But he gave half of it back coming in. He is safely within the cut line.

Just as important, the field is bunched and he is currently only 4 shots from the top 5. If he has a good weekend, he could make some noise.

Definitely a great round. I’ll predict that scores ends up around T-22nd.

Erica Shepherd missed the cut at the Firekeepers Casino Hotel Championship On the Epson tour. It was Erica’s first attempt on the pro tour. She was at +4. The cut was +2 . Wishing her well moving forward.

Alex moves up 3 spots to #62 in the FedEx standings. Importantly, he put a bit more distance between himself and #71. He started the weekend with about a 25-point cushion, and now it's 42 points.

Adam also had a pretty good day at -2, but a T57 doesn't get you much. He dropped a spot.

Alex needs to start getting into the U.S. and British Open fields. There are 156 golfers playing this week, and 75 of them are ranked lower than him (or not ranked at all) in the OWGR.

Kevin on the leaderboard at this point; -1 after 4 holes; leader is at -3 (after 8 holes). Obviously, LOTS of golf to be played. I would love to see Kevin make a run at a major. I have to believe he is on the "downside" of his career on the regular PGA tour.
