The captains each choose the order, but now that I think about it, I think you are right. Neither captain knows the order of the other team's players.

Leona just made a 60-foot putt for eagle to go four up on Rose Zhang. She's relentless.

8-8, USA up in 5, Europe up in 5, 2 tied. Looks like it's going down to the wire. Couldn't get any closer at the moment.

Europe holds the Cup, so a tie goes to them.

She put today's 1st point on the board.

Correcting this... it was 5 birdies and an eagle. Still an amazing day.

Her Solheim Cup record is gawdy.

    Boutier loses her match.

2 matches left. Europe 1 up through 16, if she holds on Europe takes the Cup. If US manages to halve the match, it comes down to Lexi Thompson for the US, who is 2 up through 15.

Edit: That was quick. Ciganda (Europe) wins 2 and 1. It's over. Congrats to Europe.

Great story, Ciganda is the only Spanish player on the team and the event is being held in Spain for the first time.

The story of Sunday Singles was Caroline Hedwall, a captain's pick. She was 3 down with 6 to play, and went birdie-birdie-par-birdie-birdie-eagle. The poor American player did ok, all pars, but got swamped.

Add me to the growing list of people that think that the tie is nonsense. Let me correct myself, I think that Europe winning with a tie is nonsense. Call it a tie and say that Europe retained or have a tie breaker. Let the captains pick two players to play sudden death. Leona v. Vu for all the marbles would have been amazing. Again, if you're going to allow ties, then stop calling Europe the winner. Btw, I was secretly cheering for Europe. I really enjoy watching Leona play and Jennifer Kupcho is one of my least favorite athletes around.
