Hopefully we get Ruthie Jones and Sophie Jones back for their COVID years. Pluck, Graham (Delaney) and Royson (Jenna) are gone.
Lynch may be a physical presence, and I agree that we need that, but she really needs to work on her passing. She had a bunch of unnecessary turnovers last night, IMO. She would get or keep the ball against a challenge, get clear, then an errant pass that missed her intended target by way too much. I didn't see the whole game, admittedly, watching only most of the second half and all of the overtime, but I certainly didn't think she stood out in a good way during the part I saw. Granted, this is against top, top tier opposition, and perhaps her presence was more important earlier in the game.
Duke’s Achilles heel is they tend to get bullied in the midfield and don’t win possession of the ball against physically stronger. The midfield led by Sophie Jones is highly technical. But they have lacked the strength to control several games against elite opponents
UNC leads Notre Dame 2-0 with 2 minutes left
FSU leads Arkansas 1-0 with 5 to go
UNC and FSU won
UVA and UCLA tied 1-1 late
UCLA nips UVA 2-1 in OT
3 #1 seeds and #2 UNC to the College Cup
Still bummed it is not us
Great game in semifinal 1 between UNC and FSU
UNC stormed to a 3-0 lead in the first 60, but FSU scored 2 quick goals to make it 3-2 with 15 minutes to go. The Heels held on unfortunately
UCLA curbstomped Alabama 3-0
Two poor plays by the Tide goalie gave the Bruins an insurmountable lead; the third goal was a gem
Michelle Cooper has announced that she is leaving Duke to pursue a professional career. Huge loss for Duke. Michelle is a dynamic goal scorer and a sure fire National Player of the Year candidate. Bummer.
Well damn. Good luck to her and thanks.

"This is the best of all possible worlds."

Asking without any knowledge of the soccer financial world, couldn't Michelle have gotten a huge amount of NIL money - enough to match what she will get this next year?
The Women's NCAA Tournament Final is currently live on ESPNU. UNC and UCLA are scoreless late in the first half.
UCLA ties it up 2-2 with 16 seconds left in regulation!
It was a corner kick that looked like it was going in anyway but went off the shoulder of a Bruin and in the net.
On to Overtime.
