Leave It To Beaver was iconic of my summers spent at my grandparents' house as a kid in Pa. If we weren't outside playing, we were plopped in front of the TV, and it was a show often on. I don't remember reruns being on air in NC so much.
That small town in Pa was very much a "Leave It To Beaver" place, with very similar neighborhoods. Great memories of those times and the show.

We've nicknamed our next door neighbor "Lumpy" after Lumpy Rutherford...
RIP. I was a big fan of Leave it to Beaver re-runs as a kid. He played that part really well.
He is a real 180 from all of the actors who portrayed mafiosos who have died lately.
Hahah I’d forgotten about that:

Now, this weird. “The rumors of my death have been greatly exaggerated.” (Or similar)

Sadly, he's died again.
https://www.cnn.com/2022/07/27/enter...bit/index.htmlAlthough this is a very sad day, I have comfort and peace that he is in a better place. He was the best Dad anyone could ask for. He was my coach, my mentor, my voice of reason, my best friend, my best man in my wedding, and my hero," Christopher Dow said, according to a statement that Bilotta shared on Tony Dow's official Facebook page.
News of the actor's passing comes one day after a premature announcement of his death. Dow revealed in May he had been diagnosed with cancer and was receiving hospice care this week, according to his son.

I was torn between a Monty Python clip and a ca. 1990 SNL clip parodying Natalie Cole and Tammy Wynette singing together when I saw this story.
RIP. Only the Beav is left now.

RIP Tony Dow. From a friend that knew him, I’m told he genuinely was a great guy. Loved “Leave it to Beaver” as a show. He’ll be missed in my household.
