Comprehensive reporting on the Jewish sports fan perspective regarding Sandy Koufax . I think it may be on Fox Sports at 7:15 pm.
Koufax and Greenberg I agree were the best. Some other Major League stars to mention are Lou Boudreau and Al Rosen at Cleveland.Denny McClain of the Detroit Tigers.Ryan Braun and Shawn Green were good in recent years.
Scott Schoeneweis from Duke played briefly but not a star.

Last Post easy short synopsis of Sandy Koufax day.

They should have timed Koufax Day for a day Kershaw was pitching.
On all news channels tonight. Vin Scully 67 years as voice of the Dodgers. Calling the last strike of Sandy Koufax's perfect game.
My late father was obsessed with baseball. Grew up a Giants fan in Brooklyn in the 50s. When an announcer would say "two and two" he would say "two and two to Harvey Kuenn" with the same cadence as Scully. Or else he would say "two and two to Harvey CNC" (his older brother's name was Harvey). So now whenever I hear an announcer say "two and two" I automatically say "two and two to Harvey Kuenn," usually in my head. What an incredible call. And hearing it always makes me think of my dad. Along with his favorite call ever, "the Giants win the pennant!"
Currently I can't think of a more professional voice in Sports than Vin Scully. Never will there be anyone like him. I do think ex Duke Coach Hubie Brown to be one of the greatest color analysts ever in basketball. Vin Scully was extraordinary.
No one described the magic of Koufax in action better than the recently passed great Dodger announcer, Vin Scully.
