Westeros is also just a lot more fun than Middle Earth. Viewing and reading tastes have evolved a good bit. It’s anti-hero or bust now.

I agree that the online criticism of LOTR is insane and disgusting.
"Elves aren't supposed to be black" is one of the funniest disgustingly racist things I have read in a long time.

Why are you wasting time here when you could be wasting it by listening to the latest episode of the DBR Podcast?

I recognize it's not a popular opinion. This just feels like the program is too self aware. I get what people like and I thought the original was amazing. This is the problem with sequels for me. They can just be a little formulaic because they know the formula. Again I recognize no one's going to agree with this. I do think they made a casting mistake with Rhaenyra. Not crazy about her at all.

I probably like Rings of Power more than the vast majority here, but even I can’t agree with these takes.

I knew it wasn't going to be popular air conditioning devil.

I didn’t really compare them. They are so different, in approach, in world building, in focus.

I thought GoT got off to a clunky and formulaic start. That Crab Licker storyline was a complete waste.

Now it was heated up and I am enjoying the ride.

Rings of Power has been a bit slow to build steam, but over all I am enjoying how it is coming together.

You are the Stephen A Smith of DBR GOT takes.

So it seems. I'm watching. Just not crazy about it thus far.

Two thumbs down on whatever they tried to do with the midsession reboot. Why did they swap out actresses for key characters and keep male actors in other roles? Shenanigans.

I was surprised the old man made it through the episode.

Yeah. It felt off that just about every male character stayed the same. I really liked Milly Alcock and I’m not sure the new gal captures here in the same way. The gal playing Alicent felt “more” right.

I also was surprised to see Viserys still alive.
