Incoming Duke freshman Max Sloat led the South boys team with four goals (plus two GBs and a CT). Sloat comes from Sacred Heart Prep in the Bay Area, where he was a high school teammate of rising sophomore goaltender Brodie Taweel.
Seven incoming Duke freshmen (five men and two women) are slated to participate in tonight’s Under Armour All-America games. Both games will be shown on ESPNU, starting at 5:00 p.m. Eastern.

Nice article from USALacrosse magazine on JT, whose injury-delayed rookie season in PLL has exceeded expectations. He could be playing his way into the national team picture.

Duke’s guys were individually and collectively brilliant for the USA. Brennan led the team in scoring. Kenny Brower was a monster on defense. Jake Caputo consistently won his matchups. And although his overall numbers weren’t great, Jake Naso won the biggest faceoff of the tournament after Canada cut the USA lead to one with two minutes to go.
Well done, guys.
Looks like we’ve had a decommit for 2023. Milton McCabe switched to UVA per his Twitter.
His name is McCabe Millon. From what I can tell he is definitely number one, something of a generational talent (though those seem to come along more than generationally). His parents were both lacrosse hall of famers (dad played at UMass, mom at Maryland) and his dad owns a bunch of camps (see article below) so the NIL angle is possible.
According to the first article below UVA also just got the #1 player from the class of 2024, though that wasn't a flip.

When does the official roster come out for both teams? The edits aren’t there on goduke.
It is a shame to hear we lost Millon. From what I have read he will be a real stud and the kind of guy that can bring championships to his team. UVA is on a bit of a hot streak with top talent. They will likely be difficult to handle for the next several years.
GoDuke has posted the men's 2023 roster.

Don't know where to post this, but I this is great for many reasons.
The folks who tailgate next to us are the Omega Psi Phis, and their tent is led by Darrel Spells. Past FB player, current chem teacher at the School of Math & Science, and now the proud dad of this kid, Jackson Spells. (Also the proud dad of his daughter, playing volleyball at Temple)
It's pretty great knowing that a "kid" that has been next to us on game day (and is even in one of my paintings) since he was almost literally knee high is now going to be carrying on in a new sport at Duke.
https://twitter.com/spells_jackson/s...kjtISp4vfHNHgUI am excited to announce my commitment to play lacrosse and continue my education at Duke University. I want to thank my family, all of my Green Level, Team 91 Carolina, Team 91 South, and Nation United Coaches and teammates.
Welcome to Duke!
Q "Why do you like Duke, you didn't even go there." A "Because my art school didn't have a basketball team."
The selection process for the men’s national team for next year’s world championship continues this weekend at the USALacrosse Fall Classic, and Coach Dano has invited five players with Duke ties (one current student, three alums, and a former grad transfer).
Congrats and best wishes to Brennan O’Neill, J.T. Giles-Harris, Brad Smith, Cade vanRaaphorst, and Michael Sowers.
