    RIP Ray Liotta

Just 67. Surprised and sad. Should have a lot more years.

Surprising, but, man, he didn't look like he took very good care of himself.
Hard at work making beautiful things.

That sucks. He wasn't the greatest actor, but he had some really fun roles.

    RIP.
Q "Why do you like Duke, you didn't even go there." A "Because my art school didn't have a basketball team."

I always think of him as Shoeless Joe Jackson.

RIP Ray. Gone far too soon and young.

Goodfellas was a classic and Field of Dreams.

Never was a big fan of mafia movies, but have always been a fan of Liotta and his FOD is a performance I will remember as long as I'm kicking around this dusty orb.

Two of my very favorite movies ever.

Didn’t realize he grew up near me in North Jersey, though he is significantly older. And he graduated from Miami and was married for a while to Mark Grace’s ex-wife.

He was great in 'Muppets From Space'.

    And 'Muppets Most Wanted'.

I think he made a mafia picture that was pretty well regarded somewhere along the line too.

Certainly not the greatest actor, but Liotta to me displayed a great knack for blending charm and menace in a number of his roles.

Wow. Definitely gone way too soon.
Count me as surprised that he was even that old. For some reason i thought he was younger.

Very different performances -- Shoeless Joe Jackson in Field of Dreams and Henry Hill in Goodfellas -- released just one year apart. But I think of that moment where Shoeless Joe talks about Ty Cobb, and a little preview of Henry Hill sneaks in:

Ray Liotta plays another sports figure -- Roger Goodell -- in the fake sequel Field of Dreams 2: NFL Lockout.

He had his best role in ‘Something Wild’ as the crazy ex boyfriend. Maybe I am biased but I loved that movie for all its twists and turns.

Man, he did the laughing/creepy thing well. He should have played Joker.
