If he can adjust his voice, that's probably a really good casting. Can't say both don't look alike, and they sure share a sense of humor.
Unknown if it's The Big Screen, or simply a screen. I'm guessing the latter, landing on one of the streaming services.
Either way, hopefully they'll do it right. It has the backing of the Valvano family, which is a good start.
.Ray Romano will star and produce a new film about the extraordinary life of American basketball coach and broadcaster Jim Valvano.
The script will be written by Jim Strouse, whose credits include Grace Is Gone and The Winning Season. Romano will produce with game1’s Basil Iwanyk, Greg Economou and Mark Ciardi (The Rookie). The Valvano family will provide key resources for the film, serving as executive producers

Q "Why do you like Duke, you didn't even go there." A "Because my art school didn't have a basketball team."
Holy Crap!
Well ray had his family and his religion down, but was a mets fan, not a packers fan
1200. DDMF.
Interesting but I don't see how this can surpass the "Survive and Advance" documentary of the ESPN 30 for 30 series.
That was funny, sad, inspirational, and real.
FYI, Ray Romano grew up in my neighborhood - Forest Hills, Queens, NYC.
I like Romano, Immensely talented as a writer and a comedian. Not as an actor however. He must own the production rights to the story. Not my choice to play Valvano.
Hard at work making beautiful things.
