Related to women's basketball, when he was at Kansas State, he wouldn't let a player transfer to over 100 schools, back when transfers were beholden to the school. While not great, that wasn't uncommon at the time.

I still think the timing of this is terrible, and the way he fired Hoover (at the ACC meetings; he brought her to the meetings apparently knowing he was going to fire her.)
