Dukies in the NBA - Week of 11/19/07

Carlos puts in a "pedestrian" 17 and 6 tonight as the Jazz cruised past the Carter-less Raptors 102-75. 'Los only got 24 minutes. Getting some rest or is he sore or something? I didn't see the game and the recap didn't mention it.

The Magic continue their impressive run, but JJ didn't make it on the floor tonight.

Josh McRoberts played all of 33 seconds against the Bobcats tonight. Surprisingly, he didn't make a dent in the box score.

As a native Torontonian, let me be the first to say Thank God we finally *are* Carter-less.

I would say that Boozer was simply resting since it looks like the Jazz were up by about 20 going in to the 4th quarter. The big lead and the fact that the Jazz backups could probably hang with NJ's starting front line are probably why Carlos didn't get a ton of minutes.

The Bulls play at Denver tonight. Anyone know if Luol is going to play or is he still struggling with the back?

Nope, looks like he's out at least another 5 or 6 days.

No problem. I'm glad people are enjoying them.

FYI, the mods have asked me to consolidate since there is so much on the front page and keep this feature to a once-weekly thread. So, each night, look for updates within that week's thread. I'll try my hardest to update nightly after games are finished.

Dukies in the NBA - Tuesday, Nov. 20

Same story, different game for Shelden, who saw only 6 minutes against San Antonio. He hit a field goal and a free throw during that stretch, though, and finished with 3 points.

Grant Hill, to no one's surprise, is becoming a lynchpin in Phoenix's offense. He's not the superstar, but that wasn't his role when they brought him in. He seems to know his role well with the Suns and he's a great asset for them. He finished tonight with 19 points as the Suns downed Sacramento by 2. Grant has brought his average up to 14.5 ppg. Not bad for a 12-year veteran. And I fully expect it to keep going up.

Luol Deng missed another game nursing a sore back, and Chris Duhon didn't make much noise off the bench except for his 5 assists to go along with 3 turnovers tonight. The Bulls are now 2-8 after the loss to Denver.

Mike Dunleavy put up a yawn-like 6 points in 22 minutes in a loss to the Lakers. He did have 5 assists, though.
