I will forever be thankful for Russ. He is an amazing talent.

This last year was subpar for many reasons. I understand why Seattle wasn't willing to break the bank to keep him around after this past year.

I don't care how many times they insist that Aaron's deal had no impact, seeing that many zeroes and dollar signs may have forced their hand just a nudge.
I nearly adopted the sea hawks .
Jerry jones saga is killing me.
Everyone else trades gets a full course meal. Jerry trades we get two tacos from tacobell and no suace.

I think most would agree they have a Top 10 defense, if not top 5. Now they have outstanding speed on offense with Hill, Waddle, Gesicki, Mostert. The offensive line has to be better after signing Terron Armstead, who some had as the top FA available, and Connor Williams. In the end, it all comes down to Tua, and whether Mike McDaniel can maximize Tua enough to make him a top 15 or so QB. We will just have to see. It's a lot of money for Hill, no doubt. But $50 million is in that last year of the contract, and there's no way he's ever seeing all of that money. The $120 million number you see in the press is BS. It's like a $5 million cap hit if they cut him before that season, so they'll either cut him or restructure.

Also, the Dolphins still have two first rounders and their second rounder in 2023. If Tua doesn't work out, it probably will not be that hard to convince a veteran QB to want to come here, given the weapons available, or use those picks to move up in the draft and grab a QB. Lamar Jackson is a South Florida native and a pending Free Agent after next season. Tom Brady is finishing a megamansion in South Florida, and we know Stephen Ross has been after him. Maybe Kyler Murray works his way out of Arizona. Dolphins will be in the mix for an upgrade if Tua doesn't work out.
I think Miami has a lot of pieces, but in my opinion the two most critical roles for NFL franchises are QB and head coach, and the Dolphins have big question marks there. Maybe those guys step up into those roles, but they are unproven as of now.

Looks like OT rules are changing (for the postseason)...

    https://www.si.com/nfl/bengals/news/...ially-changing

No real details but both teams will get a possession.

Edit: Why the Bengals? First real article I found after seeing it all over Twitter. *shrug*

Arians to the front office, Bowles promoted to HC for the Bucs. I assume Brady had to bless this.

I did not have Brady returning and Arians stepping back from the sidelines on my offseason bingo card.

Lots of speculation that the 2 events are quite related.

I’m of the opinion that’s exactly what happened. But I doubt the truth will ever come out.

Heard it this morning on the radio. What an awful story. I feel so sorry for his wife and his family.

Every day I get happier that the Panthers did not go after Deshaun Watson. (I was never unhappy.)
Congrats to Cleveland for making the dumbest (and most expensive) move of the off-season.

Too much to quote, but this article gives a good breakdown of the mess that he's created.

I'm glad my Seahawks didn't sign him, but I'm increasingly anxious about what the NFL might do or not do.

It sends a weird message if there's a quantitative difference between 23 allegations and 66. It also sends an odd message if there isn't.

Unpleasant business. But I'm glad he isn't wearing the uniform of a team I care about.

I still don't fully grasp why the entire Browns organization turned on Baker so quickly to begin with, but pivoting to Watson of all people is unfathomable. I've always pulled for the down-bad Browns out of sympathy (as a Duke FB fan I feel we are somewhat kindred spirits) but I hope they're feeling the fallout from this for as long as possible.

Trying not to say too much but I will say that the NDA is a bad look for Watson and he Texans.

Watson is despicable. He should absolutely never play in the NFL again!
