As a teenager I saw her play Viola in Twelfth Night and absolutely fell in love. I remember noting her passing last fall, but am glad to see this thread.

Don't know how we all missed this, but Dame Enid Diana Elizabeth Rigg died on September 10th, 2020.
As a young boy, Diana first exploded into my consciousness as Emma Peel in The Avengers. Those outfits! Those moves! For anyone unfamiliar with the '60s Diana, I found this enjoyable compilation:
Another iconic role: the only Bond girl to get James to the altar, sadly gunned down by Blofeld and Bunt on her wedding day.
Yet another great near-final role: Lady Olenna Tyrell, the Queen of Thorns, in Game of Thrones.
R.I.P.

I always did enjoy her- with her wry smile.
Without a shadow of doubt, Mrs. Peel was the Greatest Avenger Of All Time.
She was also the greatest Bond Girl, in what would have been the greatest Bond movie of all time if Connery had just held on for one more movie (instead of skipping that one and returning for the execrable Diamonds Are Forever).
There’s ‘The Great Muppet Caper,’ and then there’s everything else. RIP, Lady Holiday.
Honorable mention to Olenna Tyrell.
Golly, I enjoyed that. Thanks so much. Happily, I have a boxed set of all the Emma Peel Avengers episodes, and just went through them again not long ago. They never get old.
'Mrs. Peel - You're Needed'
Ah yes: black leather jumpsuit and a Louts Elan (I think). Blast from the past.
