Cuse’s zone makes 3s easier and we’re hitting them.

Our D focuses on stopping 3s, and they haven’t been able to adapt.

The zone is manna for avoiding turnovers if you just don’t overdribble. Roach and Moore have been really careful not to dribble into turnovers tonight, and our shooting has been terrific.

The zone is manna for avoiding turnovers if you just don’t overdribble. Roach and Moore have been really careful not to dribble into turnovers tonight, and our shooting has been terrific.

In the first half, Duke's 10 turnovers -- 9 if you don't count the interference from Valentine's head -- were almost all unforced, the result of sloppiness when handling or passing the ball. Two of those were just a player catching the ball in the corner with one foot on the out-of-bounds line. They cleaned that up in the second half, simply by being more alert and focused with the ball, and avoiding unnecessarily forced passes. At this point in the season, I'd like to see them come out that way from the opening tip. We were fortunate today that Syracuse came out shooting poorly and were never able to recover fully.
