I learned something about Wordle rules today (which may act as a spoiler to today's puzzle if you haven't already done it)

• If you guess a letter and it's in the wrong spot, it's yellow (we all know that)
• If you guess a letter and it's in the right spot, it's green (we all know that)
• If you guess a letter that's already green in another spot and it's nowhere else in the puzzle, it's gray (I wasn't sure if it would be yellow or gray)
• If you guess a letter that's already green in another spot, and it appears somewhere else in the puzzle as well, it's yellow (it makes sense, but I didn't realize this)

A letter that repeats only would be both green and yellow if your trial word had two of the same letters in it and one was in a correct position and one was in the wrong position. Or if you had two of the same letters in your trial word and they were both in the wrong position, they would both be yellow. Let's say the actual word was LLAMA and you entered SPELL. Both Ls would be yellow.

Really poor attempts today, including a couple of throwaway ones because I was putting a near match letter in the same position. I just couldn't come up with that very common three-letter ending until the 'doh' moment at the end.
