Ditto here. Got the first, 3rd, and 4th letter on the second try, along with another letter out of position. Then proceeded to pick the wrong fifth letter twice before getting it on the 5th try.

The lesson for me: I'm really bad at guessing between a handful of options.

Got lucky - I think you have to be to get it in 2. I took the "don't think too hard about it" tack after my usual starting word got 3 in place which I don't know has ever happened

Want to play Wordle for the foreseeable future? Here’s how:

Launch Safari on your Mac
Select File > Save As…
Choose “Web Archive” from the Format menu, then tap Save
That’s it. The web archive contains the entire dictionary of Wordle words, so the archive contains everything you need to play, once a day, as you do now. Just double-click the saved archive file and today’s Wordle will open in Safari. Works great.

Bluedog would no doubt have appreciated my second guess. My third guess was lucky. There was a much more common word - with more common letters - available that I had not yet ruled out. But I thought of the word I actually guessed first. Glad I did.
