My jury is still out as to whether this is a better game if hard mode is turned off. More strategy can be employed without it, and Aimo's Law can be avoided, but only if you get three or four exact matches early enough to identify one or two words that incorporate all possible remaining distinct letters. I will admit that it is probably easier to extend match streaks with hard mode off. I guess I'll continue in hard mode for now and run the risk of the occasional downward fickle finger of fate, but one too many of those might just change my mind.

Oh, and yeah I agree with Phredd ... while I am not surprised that this word is on the list of candidate (matching) words, I am surprised that it made the prime list. Seems like it violates one or other of the unwritten Wordle rules.
