Late to the party but. 1.19 PPP given up by UVA today. That defense has of course been key to their consistency under TB but I fear it’s just not gonna be there this year.

The defense is now 58th on Kenpom. Not up to snuff for Tony Bennett pack line typical standards but certainly respectable and not an abysmal defense. The offense at 81st on Kenpom is pretty bad and their bigger problem this year IMO.

Has anyone looked at Louisville's schedule lately?

They are 4-0 in the ACC with wins @NCSU and @GT along with a pair of home wins over Wake and Pitt.

Here are their next 5 games: @FSU, vs NCSU, @Pitt, BC, and ND. With FSU struggling mightily, that is a very winnable slate. I ain't saying it is likely, but Louisville could find themselves 9-0 in the ACC as they enter their gauntlet of @UVA, Duke, and UNC at the end of January.

I almost came out of my seat when the announcers were talking about what a great or dramatic game it was.

It was a close game. But it was not a good game, or even a watchable game unless you had money riding on it.

Unfortunately, UNC probably isn't going to fall odd a cliff this year. They have some talent and if things fall right, could challenge Duke. Ugh.

I haven't seen them take an 0-for-the-season yet, though, so the hope remains unfulfilled. I, for one, will keep hoping.

I'll keep hoping for those extra eight losses, but yeah, that was a pretty good season, I agree.

8-20 is actually funnier than 0-28 because it shows they were trying, and that 8-20 was the best they could do.
