    Very, very sad to hear this news. These celebrity passings usually don't mean that much to me, but this one is different.

    Because of Betty White's fierce advocacy for animals, my dog Rosie is named after Betty White's character on The Golden Girls.

    Really enjoyed Betty White, particularly on The Golden Girls, which I used to watch as a child with my grandmother on its original airing back in the 80s.
