RIP, GOAT
Pelé has died at the age of 82. Probably the GOAT of futebol, certainly in the top 3. He got to enjoy one last World Cup.

RIP, GOAT
I always think of this scene when I think of Pele.

I STILL GOT IT! -- Ryan Kelly, March 2, 2013
Not just the GOAT but also the greatest ambassador of football ever. His memory will live on forever. R.I.P Edson Arantes do Nascimento.
Far and away the GOAT. Messi is an incredible player but I still think it goes to Pele. Plus his role growing the game is impossible to quantify.
I was only a toddler when he played for the Cosmos close to where I was living so there is no way I can remember it, but his impact on the Cosmos and NASL lasted for several years - some of my earliest memories involved the team (and I played for a travel team called the Cosmos).
RIP Pele.
Definitely the GOAT, so far ahead of the rest in his era it makes comparison difficult. I remember him from his Cosmos days, but in his prime he is why it is The Beautiful Game.
RIP, Pelé
