For reasons obvious to anyone who’s paid attention to my musings on the OTB over the years, this one’s a personal favorite of mine. I own multiple EOJBC t-shirts, and am slated to see a mixed puppet/stage production of it in NYC in a couple of weeks.
We watch the Muppet Christmas Carol on Christmas Eve every year (which, for many years, happened after going to Christmas Eve mass and then out for a nice dinner, so it turned into the family falling asleep on the couch while Muppet Christmas Carol played in the background).

This thread should probably be renamed "Christmas Movies Melee" or maybe "The Santa Cinema Scrum". Or the "Fa La La La La La La Film Fracas".
Has anyone mentioned “Ernest Saves Christmas” yet? I’ll be disappointed if the answer is in the negative.
Interestingly, I just re-watched Ernest Saves Christmas for the first time in 30+ years. I used to love it. I do not love it anymore. This is not the reason I don't love it anymore but in this re-watching, I noticed Ernest has a 'Keep Christ in Christmas' sticker on the inside of his taxi.
Jim Varney was a long-time smoker and died at 51 from lung cancer.
I watched Krampus for the first time last year. Does that count?
No mention of the original Grinch? One of my favorites.
I'm talking about the animated one.
Any thoughts on Love Actually? I just found out from a friend that if you only see the edited-for-tv version, the entire Martin Freeman storyline just doesn't exist! If you know the movie, you can understand why.
And it's been getting a lot of flak recently for "fat-shaming". Oof.
"That young man has an extra step on his ladder the rest of us just don't have."
My FAVORITE movie. (yes, I'm a Rom-Com guy. My son used to accuse me of being a 16 year old girl.)
Another one set in Christmas/Hanukkah season is The Holiday (even has a Hanukkah party scene). My fourth favorite.
[If anyone cares, my second is Notting Hill and my third is Four Weddings and a Funeral.]
