I’d estimate the over under for Duke losses in the 2021-2022 men’s basketball season is set at 3.5 after the night the ACC had last night.
And, you must realize that these November and December games, as unimportant as they may seem, are the only was the NCAA Tournament Selection Committee has to compare conference strengths. All the January-March games are between conference members (except for the Big12-SEC competition on January 29). Unless the ACC shows some mettle against the Big Ten, I expect we will have only a few entries in the NCAA tournament in March.

It also makes it harder for Duke to get a number one seed. Duke really needs to play well in its next two games. Doesn't necessarily need to win, but have close games.

Surprisingly, T-Rank has the ACC as the fourth strongest conference, but way behind the B12, B1G, and the SEC, and barely ahead of the WCC and BE. VPI and FSU are in T-Rank's top 25, despite last night.

The eye test tells me that the ACC is... not good.

I'd be pleasantly surprised if the ACC is still fourth come March. These are strange times.

76-60, Dayton, final. Same Dayton that lost to Coach Badass's Governors.

    Man, the ACC stinks.

The ACC had 3 more wins over KenPom's Top 100 so far this week:

[43] Mississippi State lost to Louisville
[67] Arizona State lost to Syracuse
    [70] Providence lost to UVA

GT, also down 12 at half, squeaks by Geo. Southern 61-59. Geo. Southern had a chance to win but their three pointer w/ 3 secs left missed its mark.

Not that I expect anything good to come of it, but...

    Syracuse vs. Auburn
    Va Tech vs. Xavier
    and Wake vs. Oregon St.

Each give the ACC a chance for a victory over a P6 opponent. We need as many of those as we can get at this point!

Jason - you finally warming up a o the idea that the ACC is pretty garbage this year?

It’s Duke and then…ummm…some weird combination of UNC/UVA/VT/FSU and then…ummm… everyone else.

This conference is really really bad.

And sadly, the bad ACC b-ball conference is far superior to the awful ACC football conference.😡
