    Yes, but Liberty’s commercials are terrible. An Emu for a mascot doesn’t attract big time coaches.

    I suspect, but do not know, that looking at the new-look SEC, and knowing that only a limited number of teams from the same conference can make the playoff, Riley may have decided the path to the playoff is much easier at USC than at SEC-bound Oklahoma.

    If the playoff expands, the path from the SEC gets easier, but it also gets easier from the PAC-XX.

    My comment about Southern Cal's admissions department was a reference to the FBI's Operation Varsity Blues scandal in which SC seemed to be involved more so than other schools.
