Is that the first time this year?
Thanks for posting.
I wish I could go up to West Point tomorrow to check out Wake - for those who have never been, an Army home game is a bucket list experience, particularly this time of year as the trees are starting to change. Beautiful stadium with a lot of great military pageantry and tradition (I believe even the Navy and Air Force folks in the crowd would agree, and their stadiums are also high on the list!)
Not gonna lie, I stared at this matchup for a few seconds. Interesting to see where the ranking number was... and wasn't.
If you wanted to compare the AP and Coaches polls, Clemson is an interesting case:
Week AP Poll Coaches Record Pre/1 3 2 0-0 2 6 6 0-1 3 6 6 1-1 4 9 7 2-1 5 25 19 2-2 6 NR-26 21 3-2 7 NR-27 25 3-2 (Bye) 8 NR-26 24 4-2
Clemson actually hasn't been AP ranked for a while now. Also, until Week 8, Clemson had never moved up the rankings this season, whether they won or lost.
Pitt quarterback Kenny Pickett has thrown 21 touchdown passes and only one interception. Clemson defense needs to step up big time and hold Pickett in check.

Wake - Army game off to a fast start in West Point. Wake up 14-7 with 5:49 left in 1st quarter.

If Wake loses this game to Army, the ACC will have looked good today …
Halftime: Wake 28, Army 21

End of 3rd quarter: Wake 49, Army 35. Sam Hartman has thrown for 407 yards and four touchdowns.

With eight minutes to go at West Point, Wake leads Army 56-49 in a defensive struggle for the ages.
The defensive coordinators for Wake and Army today are not making good cases for raises.
If the Hokies blow this game to Cuse, does Fuente get fired after the season?
Wake’s defense looks good today.
56 points and counting surrendered to a service academy.
Woof …
Final: Wake 70, Army 56
Wake offense is really, really good.

Wake @ Army. Worst officiated game I've seen in a long time by the ACC officials. Three on-field no-calls had to be overturned by replay initiated by booth: head official attempted to wave off an obvious 12 men on the field that had been called on the field, booth called targeting after a no call on the field on an obvious targetting play. A number of easy holding calls not called. Wake didn't need the help. ACC should be embarrassed pulling that kind of crap to keep a team undefeated.
