Kevin Streelman's 67 yesterday tied him with two others for the day's best round, Justin Thomas (winner), and Tommy Fleetwood. Kevin, Adam Long, and Alex Smalley are entered in this week's Charles Schwab Challenge in Fort Worth. Ryan Blaum will play in the Korn Ferry event in Glenville, Ill. Lastly, I notice Julian Suri is entered in the Dutch Open on the European Tour.
And Streelman’s 67 helped move him up to 107 in Fedex points. 125 or higher is critical for next year qualifications and with 2 1/2 months left in season he should be ok with a few more made cuts. Smalley at 67 and Long at 87 should be fine for full exemption next year.
JT made $2.7M, Streels a mere $51K. I'd take either for playing golf on a fabulous golf course.
Thursday tee times:
Adam Long, 09:04 am, #1
Kevin Streelman, 09:48 am, #1
Alex Smalley, 12:50 pm, #10

Smalley had a great round today at -4 to improve to -2 overall. The round included a 53+ foot par saving putt on 16.
Long -2 and Streelman +2 are still to tee off with scores looking better today so far.
Alex Smalley has qualified for The Memorial next weekend. That's quite an accomplishment for his 1st year on the tour. After the majors, TPC, and World Golf Championships, it's one of the top 2 or 3 events of the regular season. Hard to get into (smaller field, an invitational) and the winner gets a 3-year exemption (vs. typical 2). And the only tournament I have ever been to.
Saturday tee times:
Alex Smalley, 12:35 pm
Adam Long, 10:45 am

Alex Smalley finished T27 and Adam Long T35 in the Charles Schwab. The Memorial Tournament at Muirfield Village in Dublin, Ohio is next. This week's Korn Ferry event is in Raleigh for the Rex Hospital Open. Ryan Blaum is entered along with recent Duke grad Quinn Riley. New pro Riley is making his debut.
Gina Kim won the Epson Tour Inova Mission Inn Resort Championship at Howey-In-the-Hills, FL today at -11, winning by two shots. This is her first professional win in her rookie year, and she is an alternate next week for the Women’s US Open. Also in the field, Jaravee Boonchant tied for 11th while Lindy Duncan and Laetitia Beck missed the cut
Streelman, Long, and Smalley are entered in the upcoming Memorial.
$56K for Alex and $.42K for Adam at C. Schwab.
Gina Kim wins, not sure what the Epson Tour is? But a win is a win, she got a check for $30,000 and is an alternate for the Open.
