Looks like he might have a really good year, and be a top competitor in the future

And the equivalent CME rankings on LPGA tour:
    Celine #9, Leona #13, Harigae 42.

LPGA finale occurs in December I believe.

Tee times (CDT) are already out for the weekend, which is kinda early, usually they come out late Tuesday. If those LIV guys win their injunction (hearing tomorrow), looks like they'll be playing as their own threesome, likely at the end of the day. The clubhouse should be frosty.

    Alex 7:37
    Kevin Noon
    Adam 12:11

Players are grouped by their ranking. Weather looks great, but hot (pushing 90), for the weekend.

Poor start for Alex. He needs to pick up his game.

Long and Streelman will probably need fairly good showings to advance to the next round of the playoffs... probably top 25ish. Smalley should be ok so long as he does not miss the cut.

Smalley has birdied 3 holes in a row as he closes out his front nine. He stands at 2-under so far and is in T8. Obviously, super early...

Three straight birdies will fix that! Now -2 after 8 holes

Perhaps I shouldn't watch. Those came immediately after I walked away to handle some other stuff.

I like how Alex can pull himself together mid-round. He missed his first 4 fairways, but obviously figured it out.

So I tune back in and he double bogeys. And no, I don't believe in jinxes, reverse jinxes, and triple jinxes.

4 straight missed fairways, +1. 5 straight made fairways, -3. 3 straight missed fairways (including OB and water, on 3 of the easiest holes on the course no less), +2. Grrrr. C'mon Alex!

Alex finishes +1. He has to do better tomorrow. He's in danger of missing the cut. He's only about 60 points clear of 71st place, which isn't much of a cushion when points are quadrupled.

Kevin Streelman finished today’s round at Even par. He is T77 so he needs to make up ground tomorrow.

Hard day on the links: Kevin T77, Alex T86, and Adam 120 (last). Look for all to turn it around tomorrow.

If the cut were today, Alex would be the last man in for next weekend at #70. He's dancing on the razor's edge.

However, the cut is tomorrow. That course could be had today, about half the field was -2 or better and Alex was +1. The cut line will be -1, very possibly -2. If he makes the cut, he'll play next weekend. If not, he's got to hope for favorable outcomes by other players.

C'mon Alex. I predict he'll shoot a 66 and make the weekend. And next week.

Long’s season is over and as noted above Kevin and Alex probably need good rounds today to stay alive.

However, these 3 all keep their exempt status next season and that’s always good news for players at their level.

Good point, and now Kevin's season is over as well. The weight of Duke Golf Nation is on Alex's shoulders. He can still miss the cut and make next weekend, but he'll have a nervous this weekend watching how those below him play.

    Just make the cut!

One of Alex's playing partners has withdrawn after hitting it into the water on 14. Don't know if he pulled something (other than his shot), he wasn't going to make the cut anyway so may as well hit the 19th hole.
