It’s ok, they picked a links-style course similar to what all American players grew up with to give us an advantage.

This is why the Europeans keep winning...they're looses as gooses.

This. Why in the world would you choose a course that closely resembles what the opposing team has been playing since they were, as they say, wee lads?

They do play loose and they aren't afraid to laugh at themselves(see your picture). Sometimes the American team seems too serious and tight.

Because course selection is done eons in advance, and is *far* more about marketing the event (of which course selection is a key part) than it is about maximizing American opportunities for victory. IMO.

OMG! You have to watch this video from the European team. Warning: do not have any liquids in your mouth.

Therein lies the difference: the Euros enjoy themselves and we discuss personal disputes and mask wearing.

Easy there. He posted those yesterday afternoon, with the heading "predicted pairings." He was explicitly speculating, and even was speculating about tomorrow *afternoon's* four-ball pairings. And he was asking for others here to do so as well (even though no one did).

Put differently, he was taking the "all in good fun" approach that the Euros are taking. Not the "this is deathly serious, let's wind ourselves tight, you are wrong, wrong, wrong" approach that the Americans are taking.

Oh, I wondered why there wasn't a link. Did not know they were personal, thought the "who ya got" was to pick the winners of the listed matches. My misunderstanding and apologies.

They showed that to the whole team and it apparently had them rolling on the floor.

And now I think I am rooting for Europe.

Boy, I like this Schauffle Cantlay pairing in Friday morning foursomes for the USA.

Berger and Koepka look strong, too.

Jordan's shot will be on Ryder Cup highlight reels 'til the end of time.

It would have been better if he actually fell into Lake Michigan.

And if JT & Jordan didn't lose the match on that hole (3&1).

Pretty weak showing this morning from Justin Thomas and Jordan Spieth.

Collin Morikawa and Dustin Johnson get the USA their first point!
