Wake and UNC each finished conference play with 18 points. They didn’t play this season, so there was no head-to-head result that could serve as a tie-breaker. It appears that conference wins were used instead, so Wake’s 6-4 pipped the Cheats’ 5-2-3.

I read that last year, the first tiebreaker was in-conference goal differential. By that measure, uNC would have advanced. I'm glad that wasn't the case.

By far most of the match has been played in the Duke half. Wake pressing effectively. Duke finally gets decent chance, but wide.

Yeah, so far this has been a disappointing performance. Duke is not playing with urgency and their passes are often off-target. The only good news is that Wake has three yellow cards, including both center backs. One of those continues to mark Cooper closely, so if we can feed her the ball, we might have an opening. So far, though, Wake has been able to disrupt the entry passes or intercept before one can even be attempted. This game certainly isn’t over, but we’ve got work to do. The Wake fans, sadly, are louder than Duke. It almost has the feel of an away game.
