    Duke Softball 2021-2022

Added transfers from Michigan State and James Maddison today. Interesting that the Michigan State transfer was a freshman who was a highly rated pitcher going into the season. Will be hard to come get playing time with PSG, Shelby, Bri, and Claire already with a strong 4 person rotation.

Here's the GoDuke article on our two transfers.

Good news on the transfers. Jala Wright looks to have been a very good hitter in high school, although only batting on the days she pitched. She is decribed as "a dynamic athlete that can pitch, swing and run."

I was under the impression that Peyton St. George was graduated and gone. Is there something indicating that she is coming back as a "Covid Senior"?

Yes, Peyton has said she will be back next year.

I love sports where the athletes are still students first. Call me old-fashioned, but I'll really enjoy seeing these ladies again, hopefully in person a few times this year.
