She was feelin' it from beyond the arc... the hop-back three was absolutely unreal. The ladies were a bit careless with the rock at times, but this is a team that has a good opportunity to surprise some folks, having been picked 8th in the conference.

I only got to watch the last quarter, but good lord, that stat stood out. For the game they shot 40%!!! That's going to lose close games, and keep games that they should be in contention down the stretch constantly out of reach. Also, I'm guessing the end of game foul fests that we encounter in games we are ahead by less than 10 are going to be even more foul filled. I'd make it my end of game sole strategy if I know the team I'm playing against misses more than half of them.
Q "Why do you like Duke, you didn't even go there." A "Because my art school didn't have a basketball team."

Lots to work on. Starting with foul shooting and transition defense.

Still, Duke hits the century mark with decent foul shooting.
This team is like a puppy- lots of messes but you can see it’s potential.

Prior to today's game, including the one exhibition game, Duke was 66 for 89 on free throws, a decent 74%. Today's 10 for 25 drops them down to 76 for 114, or 67%. Concerning, but probably correctable with tons of reps in practice.

I suspect you're jesting. But no, I asked Kara Lawson in today's postgame. I rather suspect Nina King had other things on her mind.

In my mind I sound like Cary Grant.

On tape I sound like Gomer Pyle.

Speaking of Cary Grant, there’s a reason I don't put my glasses on until I’m away from the bathroom mirror.

Actually, Jim Nabors has one of the best baritones of all time. 'tis the season, and his Christmas album is one of my favorites.

Note that I didn't say I sounded like Jim Nabors, I said I sounded like Gomer Pyle.

On the other hand, I sing about as well as Cary Grant.

At first, I was wondering why somebody with a British accent was asking questions.

Out of curiosity, who were the other two asking questions?

Our next opponent still clocks in at 9th, so we'll have our work cut out for us on Thursday. I sure hope we can cut down the overly-ambitious passes and drives into double- and triple-teams against a top-tier visitor. I'm looking forward to seeing how we do in that kind of game.
