Literally a game of inches - an inch on Oostie's putt on 17 and Rahm's putt on 18 could have swung the outcome. Again Torrey delivered on a dramatic finish. And our contest was equally close as we had 11 teams that had Rahm, but team Turk backed it up with two T4s and two T7s to take the trophy. Team Rich is lamenting Bryson's total meltdown on the back nine.

See you at the Open next month!

Nice win, Turk. Five of the top 12 (with all the T7’s) is impressive!

Congrats Turk! Glad you missed the Masters.

My guys lost a cumulative 59 spots on Sunday. Ugh.

Aw shucks; I liked the idea of beefing up the squad with a couple of power forwards / linebackers; depending on the budget, maybe for the Open I'll try and add Bryson and DJ to the ranks and collect the whole set. Rahm seeems likable to me; and deserved some mojo after the Memorial.

And Rahm moves past DJ (by 0.03 points) to #1 in the world.

I am pretty happy that I ended up 12th overall for the entire season even though I only picked teams for the Masters and the US Open.

See you at the Open next month!
ohh boy ... DFL. I am going to go ahead and preemptively pick Louis and Brooks for all foreseeable majors. Sam Burns is getting cut from the team. I still believe in Scottie Scheffler and Sungjae, though BDC is on thin ice after his colossal melt down. I haven't seen a shanked wedge like that since I was greenside on 14 two weeks ago.

I've been trending downwards and I'm not surprised. Last year when golf was about the only sport on TV, I was fairly plugged in, knew who was playing well, etc. The last two times I've entered this contest, it's been a last minute thing where I just picked some guys I like and threw the them together to make 30 points. I know there's a good bit of luck involved but I also thing your odds go up when you either know what your doing or take the time to do a little research. Either way, it's fun watching the tournament and rooting for your own degenerates!

I did hear that. Thanks for pointing it out.

I think I liked the old format of 18 more holes to settle a playoff at the United States Open better!

Research usually dooms me as I end up spending too much on a few high priced players. In past years when I did better I picked some value players in the 5 range and rode them to decent results. Of course, you need luck to pick the actual winner.

For me, I feel like the research helps me pick those lower value players. Knowing who's coming in hot or if the tournaments a guys home course, etc. Of course it could just all be chance. I did better when I knew and worse when I quickly threw a team together but it's a pretty small sample size!

I thought Torrey Pines rewarded those who had done well there before -- hence, Rahm, Reed, Leishman and Rose. Streels is my good luck charm. Finau and Rory were guesses. I was pleased with my picks -- the winner and four of the top 20. Alas, in this group of sharks that was only the middle of the pack. But -- hey -- I wasn't last!
