    The OFFICIAL summer practices/workouts thread

With all the K/Scheyer news of the past week some might have missed that our players have arrived on campus! Man, is that a welcome sight to see. Last year this didn't happen until around August. I'm sure the guys are excited to get to work and I can't wait to see them on the court together. Here are links to some clips and tweets posted on social media.

    freshmen move-in

    getting up some shots

    loud clapping!

    Keels promises big things

    Nice work UCake, thanks!
Nothing incites bodily violence quicker than a Duke fan turning in your direction and saying 'scoreboard.'

Some mighty confident words from Keels. I hope he’s right. None of the freshmen have logged a minute in an NCAA game yet and their teammates were 13-11 last year. It would be a significant (although not improbable) turnaround for the team to bring home a trophy at the end of the season, especially if it’s an NCAAT national championship trophy! I hope it is, though!

Isn't that how the K retirement story is supposed to end?

I knew AJ was a physical freak, but did not realize Banchero had ups like this too. Both reported to have 40+” verticals

I think that’s the Fitness Thread on the OTB.

Do you think Griffin mocks Keels as a lightweight?

a lot of bulk there. Interesting to see how they formulate the defense.

Good question but perhaps "knocked back" will not be part of the post-game analysis.

I think every loss gets a “knocked back”

I've mentioned this previously, but if Wendell is going to spend a lot more time this year guarding perimeter players, as most expect, he would be well served to trim down a bit to gain some quickness and bounce. We've seen other Duke players do this in the past, to generally positive effect, perhaps most notably Wojo between the 95-96 and 96-97 seasons.

Glad to hear of the bulk. What impressed ne most about last year's Baylor was their bulk.

Social media posts from Duke have taken a major turn the last couple of days, promoting Duke as the “biggest stage” with the “brightest lights.” The latest on Twitter highlights how many views the episodes of Duke Blue Planet receive. And here’s Zion describing how playing for Duke helped his brand. NIL is now the focus for getting kids to come.

As I said a few days ago, Duke has been prepping for this for years with their own social media and branding.

bumping this up as I saw on the Devils Den that Mark Williams has been measured with a 9 foot 8 inch standing reach...give ME that reach along with my six inch vertical and it's jam city. I believe he has a 7-7 wingspan to boot...

    Both are evidently Duke records
