Yeah, I agree. I put my rooting interests in order as:

Jazz (like the idea of a non-hyped team that has never won before, built around a defensive player, no top-level superstar, small market)
Suns (similar to above to a lesser extent)
Hawks (fun, but the Trae foul antics keep from being my favorite)
Clippers (annoying how much hype they've gotten, but gets a Kennard bump)
Bucks (nothing personal, just seem underachieving and a little undeserving)
Sixers (really hate The Process, but gets a Curry bump)
Nets (definitely 2, maybe all 3 of my least favorite superstar level players)

I think if they hire the right coach, they could be in next year, but I do agree if it's another miss on the coach and another miss at the playoffs, then Zion will start to get antsy.
BTW, just heard that Rick Carlisle isn't going to return to the Mavs. New Orleans should be on the phone to him now.

Another reason to root for the Jazz: Quin Snyder.

That's my primary rooting interest in the west at this point.

All my (positive) NBA rooting interests are connected to Duke.

Amen. I’m in the same camp.

  8. Duke-rooting interests, in descending priority imo:

    - Nets with Kyrie as a major contributor
    - 76ers with Seth in the starting lineup (and against the Hawks the team's second best player)
    - Clippers with Kennard getting solid minutes
    - Jazz with Snyder as the coach

Mine as well, in that order.

When Durant on, he is as good a basketball player as I have ever seen. Brooklyn looks like Durant and a few other guys just because they require you to field a team.

Never in doubt. On to a game 7. Toss-up. If Nets role players (i’m including Harris in that group) shoot well, Nets squeeze out a victory. If not, Bucks win. Will not hazard a guess as to which way it goes.

Sorry if already posted or generally announced -- is Kyrie out for Game 7?

I think he is generally believed to be out for the series. I’m not sure anyone has officially declared that

That’s been the scuttlebutt for sure. But no, not announced by the team officially. I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s unable to come back before the Finals (should Brooklyn advance that far).

I have no rooting interest in any team but I would love to see Quin come out on top. I was hoping it would be vs the Sixers because of Curry.

Yeah, here on DBR we should know a little about Kyrie and foot injuries. I don’t think he’ll be back anytime soon.

Ouch. Is it possible for both teams to lose a trade?

OKC is accumulating picks like Roy with timeouts. At some point you can only use so many for a basketball roster.
