Yet given the distance of the course this weekend, wind, and general difficult layout, I noticed you still picked a winning score of -8 for this weekends tournament. That would be an average score of 70 per round for the winner. Pretty darn good given the way you described the course.
Those guys playing this weekend must be machines ...
No doubt. I saw on Golf Channel today they were showing Justin Thomas at the range. The analysts noted he was practicing on lower apex drives and teeing the ball a bit lower to make some adjustments to account for the wind this weekend.
I am as pumped for this major as I have been for any of them in recent memory.
Me too. IMO, this thing will probably turn on the wind situation on Sunday afternoon. Once the leaders make the move from the 13th green to the 14th tee (and typically back into the prevailing wind), things could begin to get REALLY interesting.
Of course, Rory kinda ran away with it in 2012, so what do I know?
"Amazing what a minute can do."

McIlroy (6)
Cantlay (5)
Finau (5)
Ancer (4)
Fitzpatrick (4)
Score (-12)
I'm a little surprised that only 3 picked DeChambeau; that only 5 took Dustin Johnson; only 3 for Rahm (although I figure that now that I have stopped picking him in these contests, he's sure to win soon). Also a little surprised that nobody took Rickie Fowler, Phil Mickelson, or Charl Schwartzel.

Rasputin, thanks for your effort, I find your list useful/fun. Interestingly, you'd think a greater variety of golfers would have been selected also. It's actually the reverse if you take into account the size of the fields (Masters vs. PGA).
An opening triple bogey 7 on the scorecard for Adam Scott ...
Rory in the drink off the first tee?
"That young man has an extra step on his ladder the rest of us just don't have."
Meanwhile my unique pick Adam Long is even after five holes. Even par will win a lot of money this week.

33 year old Cameron Tringale, who has never finished higher than 38th at a major, goes out in 33 for -3.
I thought this place was supposed to be tough?
A couple of my "two-buck Chucks" are at the top of the leader board -- Matt Jones and Adam Long.
