I turned on the TV to see Rose with a lead and still on the course but I wasn’t seeing his round. I have now started back at the beginning of the broadcast and am catching up on that now.

Didn’t get that last birdie, but he did go nine under on the last 11 holes. Truly unbelievable start for Justin Rose.
If you have Justin Rose in your group of golfers, you have a good shot at putting some money on the board in this contest. Just an incredible effort today.
Any knee surgeons here? This seems nuts to me, Koepka playing 1 month after knee surgery. Is he risking career damage to play this tournament so soon?

No medical expertise here, but I can report that Ms. Bookface had her knee repaired by the same surgeon that worked on Koepka. You shouldn't conclude from this that she is an elite athlete, but the photos on the wall of that doc's office suggest he does work on a lot of them.
Forecast today: overcast and a bit muggy. Low winds, but thunderstorms moving into the mid-afternoon. Wind gusts possible this afternoon up to about 15 mph.
Already 65 degrees out and dawn is just starting to take.
So, another tough scoring day if the competition committee deems it so.
Rose misses the fairway on 1. Way right ...
Hoo boy.
Bogey on 1 for Rose.
Here we go!
The par-3 #6 takes a bite out of Rose. A tee shot JUUUUUUST too far left resulted in his birdie putt being a ~60 footer with a steep slope near the end. His putt JUUUUUUUST came up short on the hill... and rolled almost back to his feet. His ~50 foot par putt made it up the hill, but was about 6 feet away. Looking at at least bogey, if not a double.
He did save bogey at least.
The defending champion may not even make the cut. It’s early yet, but Dustin Johnson needs to turn it around after an uneven start today. Dechambeau has righted the ship and is at even par. Rose recovered nicely from a poor start and shoots a 72, which keeps him at -7 and atop the leaderboard. Finau, JT, and Spieth all playing well. And Lefty is right on the cut line at +3.
Augusta National doesn’t seem to be playing AS difficult as some have hyped it up to play. It’s difficult for sure but Rose carded a 65 yesterday and Finau carded a 66 today. JT carded a 67 today. Both carded bogeys on 18, missing short putts too. The ability to go low is still out there. The course isn’t playing as difficult or maybe these guys are just really good!
I can pull for Zalatoris, he seems like a very chill guy. Of course, they all seem chill.
Nothing incites bodily violence quicker than a Duke fan turning in your direction and saying 'scoreboard.'
Rory can't get a break. Ouch.
Nor can DJ.
