Nobody convinces themselves good things will happen to them more than UNC fans and they had convinced themselves that WK was coming back. Alas.

There are a few Duke fans who currently think the same once K retires...

Hypothetically wishing for it and expecting it to be a done deal are two very different things.

That said, the Pagliuca conspiracy theory (while interesting) has an uphill battle toward credibility.

    No. It really doesn't.

Granted his coach did leave Utah State for Utah.

In other transfer news, UVA picked up a commitment from ECU's Jayden Gardner

This is a big pickup. Don't be fooled by the pedigree. He's pretty good.

I remember when Duke got some shlub transfer from Liberty.
Q "Why do you like Duke, you didn't even go there." A "Because my art school didn't have a basketball team."

    ESPN says:
Gardner, a 6-foot-7 forward from North Carolina, has been one of the most productive players in the country the past three years at East Carolina. He averaged 18.3 points and 8.3 rebounds this past season, earning first-team All-American Athletic Conference honors after ranking second in the league in both scoring and rebounding.

As a sophomore, Gardner averaged 19.7 points and 9.2 rebounds for the Pirates, garnering second-team all-league honors. He posted 16.3 points and 8.5 boards as a freshman.
Why are you wasting time here when you could be wasting it by listening to the latest episode of the DBR Podcast?

Yep, a nice replacement for Hauser. Totally different player, but they play the same position.

    Duke update

Is Duke a) reaching out to transfers and, if so, is are they b) gaining traction with transfers?

It's so much harder to get info with transfers than HS recruits.
