February 28, the greatest day ever (for old Dukies like me)

It was a day I will never forget... Banks coming out w roses, hitting the shot to go to OT and then hitting winning basket in OT. I drove to Greensboro that night w/o a ticket to try and see Springsteen and was able to buy 3rd row ticket at face value. Springsteen played for about 2.5 hours.

I've always cherished this photo I took (I was one of the last ones to get into Cameron) of Tommy Emma doing his best in-your-face work on Sam Perkins. The bucket was good, by the way.

Perkins got a lot of abuse that day: Banks' game tying shot was over his outstretched arms and I recall a fan with lengthy "fake arms" accosting him during pre-game warmups. Perkins seemed to enjoy the gag.
