Cagle has only lost 5 times this year - three of them to Duke. Ball never got out of the infield - great game by both teams. Correct team won.

It will be close. Those go to the top 16 seeds. Before the tourney we were just below that.

For what it is worth, our RPI was 15 before today's game.

I just realized it's predetermined first round sites this year, even if we do get a "Home" regional. So it won't be at home sadly.

I guess the closest site would be...Clemson? (which presumably Clemson would get if they remain top 16)

So not much edge there either way except us getting weaker opponents in the regional.

Cagle has 13 Ks and I remember one throw out on an attempted steal. So, that's only seven outs on batted balls.

Cagle may be the Zion Williamson of softball. She is really good. 26-5 on the mound, 2nd in ACC in HRs, 3rd in BA, 4th in RBIs. Glad we got to her this year. She may be unstoppable in the future. Amazing we beat her three times, but remember Clemson did not play Free Shoes U.

And she's just a freshman - she could be an absolute terror the next three years. And we beat her three times by....scoring 3 earned runs in 16 innings, with one of those losses coming in a 2 inning relief outing on the SAME DAY she pitched 7 innings of 1 earned run ball. Those 3 "wins" are not on her but on our pitching staff and the clemson lack of offense.

Actually 8. One of the strikeouts ended up on first because of a wild pitch on strike 3. Still an amazing performance. She doesn't beat herself. But I would like to have seen her pitch against Free Shoes U.

The Clemson/FSU regular season series was cancelled. That was what I meant about not pitching against them. Would have been interesting to see if they would have beaten her twice as we did.

For what it is worth, our RPI was 15 before today's game.

Clemson's RPI was 20th before today's game, so Duke will probably not move any. FSU was 8th in the RPI and I don't think Friday's win moved Duke any at all.
In last week's D1 Coaches Poll, FSU was 7th, Clemson 13th and Duke 21st, so Duke may move up a few spots based on beating them both and winning the ACC Tournament.
