I must say I enjoy watching softball more than I thought I would. All the good things about baseball without the painfully slow pace. Plus, nobody is angling for a pro contract. They’re just playing for their team and their school.

FSU has won 6 straight titles. This year, they won't make the final.

I tuned in late thanks to this little thing called work, but I'm glad I caught the end of that one. Great finish. Clemson (2nd-year program) v. Duke (4th-year program) in the final.

Very impressive win after a rough patch on defense that could have rattled their composure. I got nervous when Sherrill came up to bat, but her string ran out, thank goodness. On to the championship!

Both of Clemson's tourney games have been 2-0. Both of Duke's have been 4-3.

Here's hoping to continue the Duke pattern with a 4-3 tomorrow.

A win today could moved them into the top 16, which means the top seed in a regional. On the downside, unless the committee moves Va. Tech ut of Blacksburg, it is possible that we will be in a region hosted by a #2 seed SEC team.
