    Good news: my wife is delighted to share the multi-layer sour cream coconut cake recipe

    Bad new: she hasn't made it in a couple/three decades and will have to find the recipe

    To those who inquired (you know who you are); I've looked through several 40+ year old cookbooks in the cupboards and found 2 similar recipes for multi-layered sour cream coconut cakes and I'm getting my personal dessert chef to try and recall which one she used. Hopefully, an answer before sunset tonight .
