You can get a tarte citron in the cafe on the third floor of the Louvre, the one right near their Vermeer (The Lacemaker), that is absolutely heavenly.

That would/should be a New Glarus beer (which sadly, I've never tasted).

A BBA spiced and peppered amber/brown ale. But, I digress.

Seriously, my wife makes a great coconut custard pie. Makes me forget about chocolate for a few minutes.

Is this a good time to mention that coconut cream is my favorite pie?

Oh, look, a pie thread. Sad to report no new pies baked/consumed since the Thanksgiving/Christmas holidays in the devildeac household.

We're making a key lime pie this afternoon, so I'm getting a kick...

On a road trip through Maine a few summers ago we had some spectacular blueberry pies. I have not been able to get close to replicating them in my kitchen.

Make this about once a month, though the rhubarb patch is pretty thin this time of year. Tried making a cranberry rhubarb pie over the holidays as I had a bunch of cranberries and strawberries were out of season. Would not recommend.

Posted the pics in the food day thread a while back.

One of the down home restaurants I frequented before the pandemic had a pastry chef who did some interesting things. The best I got there was a strawberry-fig pie. Yummmmy.
