This thread should maybe be locked so idle speculation doesn't get wild, haha.
You're just lucky I am not a betting man (at least in this particular frame of discussion)!

Troublemaker is refusing to acknowledge that Joe Biden won the election and is refusing to pay off a bet made through the DBR with another member of the community. In fact, Troublemaker actually insisted that the other poster in question pay him because Troublemaker was convinced Trump was the real winner.

Many mods are not fans of folks using the DBR to make wagers, but if wagers are made, we expect our members to act honorably. We cannot allow welching and dishonesty to pervade our community. Seeing as we do not have the power to force Troublemaker to pay off this bet, he has been permanently banned from the DBR. You will never see him on any DBR boards again including the EK page.

I am sorry this was made public, but I wanted to see if there were multiple members of the community who had been wronged and this was the most efficient way to find out who had made bets with him. The mod community needed to know the full story before we took action. Troublemaker made it clear that he would rather leave the community than pay off the bet so we have given him his wish.

I am sorry that this distracted so many of you and am sorry that we lost a longtime member of the community, but honesty matters.
Why are you wasting time here when you could be wasting it by listening to the latest episode of the DBR Podcast?

Just shows that brilliant "X's and O's" guys are not necessarily brilliant "X" guys.

Sorry to hear this. Correct call under the circumstances. Unfortunate.

Thank you for making this difficult but correct decision. Really scary that it had to happen.

Man, "Behind the scenes, there's a dispute about whether I went 3-0 on my bets or 3-1." has to be the most carefully evasive way the truth has ever been referenced here.

I kind of dig this public shaming. The chat room equivalent of putting a head on a spike as a warning to others.

We're getting tantalizingly close to discussing defenestration. I'm all agog.

It's why I resolve to never win them. I'm pretty good at it.

Much to my chagrin, I recently discovered that it's kerfuffle and not kerfluffle. This makes me sad as I like my kers extra fluffy.

Any mention of a defenestration brings back memories of my late, great high school orchestra teacher Mr. Fenstermacher. Because if there is any time one might need a fenstermacher, it is right after a defenestration.

I have a new favorite. I had heard/used haywire but haywacky was a new one for me. Thank you, Andy Reid!

Guessing "humble" wasn't one of the flavors in play.
Q "Why do you like Duke, you didn't even go there." A "Because my art school didn't have a basketball team."
