Queen Latifah as a butt-kicking ex-cop also seems like a tough sell to me.

Agree to disagree. I put that on the short list of "WTF" Super Bowl Halftime Shows.
That's fine. You have to be very young and happening to get The Weeknd.

My 15 yr old said it was awful. I thought the whole thing was a Michael Jackson ripoff.

The Weeknd is very Michael Jackson-ey, so that makes sense. The halftime show wasn't terribly good, but The Weeknd makes some decent music generally.

Did you watch last year's show with Shakira and J-Lo? I thought that was one was pretty darn good. But, I'm also willing to add 'Shakira' to 'sweatpants' and 'garlic' as evidence there is a God and it wants us to be happy.

I would rather wake up with my face stapled to the carpet than listen to pop music. But, Shakira makes me rethink that. And I have no idea what she sings.

Hot take. I have seen halftime shows where I was glad to see the artist because I like the artist but I have never seen a good halftime show. Not in the history of ever.

Prince? Prince wasn't spectacular? Careful there...I am a true believer.

They lie about facial hair and skinny jeans. They are pretty good with restaurants and beer. Except their weird PBR love. Yeah I don't get that one. It doesn't taste like Nostalgia because it doesn't taste like anything.

I'm going to tread lightly here because I am absolutely terrified of you. So let's go ahead and put that on the table. I am not really a Prince fan while recognizing his unbelievable Talent.
