Wilson,
I have to tell you, while 22 movies may seem truly daunting, I am of the believe that the MCU is the finest action/adventure franchise in cinematic history and it ain't really close. Other than maybe 2 or 3 mediocre films, the movies are just brilliant -- easy to watch with great mix of humor and action with truly wonderful stories.
So, with that in mind and given your desire for connections to the WV series that has piqued your interest, here is my recommendation for which ones to watch (both in terms of quality and in terms of importance for the WV storyline). I put the ones you really should not miss in
green.
Iron Man - this got it all started and is still one of the best of the bunch. 9 in terms of "worth watching", 2 in terms of WV connection
Incredible Hulk - skip it
Iron Man 2 - skip it
Thor - the MCU starts to grow. 6 in terms of "worth watching", 3 in terms of WV connection
Captain America: First Avenger - takes place in the 1940s and does a nice job of setting up a lot of what is to come. 8 in terms of "worth watching", 5 in terms of WV connection
Marvel's The Avengers - the main heroes come together for the first time. 9 in terms of "worth watching", 5 in terms of WV connection
Iron Man 3 - skip it
Thor: The Dark World - skip it, but be aware that some of the stuff in this film impacts Avengers: Endgame
Captain America: Winter Soldier - 9 in terms of "worth watching", 3 in terms of WV connection
Guardians of the Galaxy - Lots of folks love this film and it really introduces us to the central villain of all future films. 7 in terms of "worth watching", 4 in terms of WV connection
Avengers: Age of Ultron - The worst of the "Avengers" movies, but still pretty good. Wanda and Vision make their first appearances in this movie. 7 in terms of "worth watching", 8 in terms of WV connection
Ant-Man - skip it, though it is a pretty cute film. 8 in terms of "worth watching", 1 in terms of WV connection
Captain America: Civil War - If you just don't think too much about the bad guy's plan, you will adore this film. 9 in terms of "worth watching", 8 in terms of WV connection
Doctor Strange - skip it, thought it is a fairly good film. 7 in terms of "worth watching", 1 in terms of WV connection
Guardians of the Galaxy 2 - skip it
Spiderman: Homecoming - probably skip it, but a really fun movie. 9 in terms of "worth watching", 2 in terms of WV connection
Thor: Ragnarok - another wonderful film that you could skip. 9 in terms of "worth watching", 1 in terms of WV connection
Black Panther - you can skip if you want but at this point, Marvel is churning out ridiculously good action movies that actually have real storytelling depth. 9 in terms of "worth watching", 3 in terms of WV connection
Avengers: Infinity War - Like I said, Marvel is on a heater that only Pixar approaches. 9 in terms of "worth watching", 9 in terms of WV connection
Ant Man and the Wasp - skip it, though watch the final scene after you watch Infinity War. It is on YouTube --

Captain Marvel - skip it... though you can read about the connection between the SWORD agent on WV and this film
Avengers: Endgame - I mean, once you watch Infinity War, you sorta have to watch this film. 9 in terms of "worth watching", 4 in terms of WV connection
Spiderman: Far From Home - delightful film that has no connection to WV other than explaining "the blip" which happens in the first few minutes of the movie. You can watch that here --

Others may disagree with my assessment, but... well, I'm trying to make this manageable for you. I whittled it down to 9 films and a couple YouTube clips. That's doable.
-Jason "and once you watch these 9, even though it has no impact on WV, do yourself a favor and watch Spiderman: Homecoming, Thor: Ragnarok, and Black Panther because they are fabulous" Evans
