I have a friend who is in mental health crisis in Portland, Oregon. She is new to the area, and does not have a primary care doctor. She attempted to get help at a clinic today and was met in the parking lot and told "we can't help you without a referral from a PCP."
Here in Asheville, there are several walk-in clinics for immediate help. If anyone knows of resources for a young woman who is in an increasingly desperate situation, please either reply here or PM me.
