Duke and unc look very very good, but Merlin and UVA are very good, too...ACC games really will be fantastic. I think Quint still has Merlin #1, though the way he (appropriately) gushed over Duke in the High Point game might change his ranking...
Merlin has a very tough game on Saturday vs #4 Rutgers
The last time Rutgers played a game this big, John Danowski was in the starting lineup.
Rutgers and Merlin tied at the half
So with Duke's announced lockdown, will the players be allowed to play tomorrow, even though they likely are in Jacksonville as we speak?
Just tuned in. 8-2 Duke with 3:00 to go in the 2Q.
Duke’s continuing to score. 11-2 with :10 left in the half.
14-2 early in the 3rd...make it 15-2, O'Neill has five goals...
15-2 now Oneill w/ 5 goals/ Joe Robertson w/ 2 goals and 3 assists.

I noticed that Fencing at Carolina was cancelled. I guess Duke is OK with indoor sports on campus even with Covid, but are justifiably wary of exposing athletes to Carolina cooties in chappa heeaa.
Inside Lacrosse posted a nice article on Nakeie Montgomery. In addition to the points made in the article about Nakeie's play this year, I have been impressed with how he sprints back and works hard on defense when he is hung up in transition.

Critically important weekend upcoming for the Duke women, with a pair of games at Virginia.
No one who understands the current state of the women’s game will have been surprised by the results of Duke’s games against UNC and Syracuse; along with ND and Northwestern, they make up a group of four that are far above everyone else. Where Duke fits within the next group, and whether the Blue Devils have a chance to be seeded in the NCAA tournament, depends on the results against UVA and BC.
7:00 p.m. Eastern Friday on ACCNX, and noon Eastern Sunday on ACCN.
So far in C’ville it’s the Maddie Jenner show. Duke won 11 of 14 draws in the first half and turned a patient offense into an 8-5 halftime lead. Two goals each for Jenner and DeBellis, and a goal and three assists for Rosenzweig. My homie Lillie Kloak leads the Hoos with two goals.
Duke on a 4-0 run, 12-5 now.

Kloak ends an 18-minute scoring drought for Virginia, but LeRose comes up with a big save and Duke scores in transition. The lead is 15-6 with 12:24 to go.
