Duke’s ride was fantastic today; six blown clears for AF, and two Duke goals directly from turnovers caused by attackmen.

Yes, a huge surprise. Pretty clear demonstration that the transitivity principle (UVA beats Army, Army beats Syracuse, therefore UVA will beat Syracuse) is invalid.

ACC lax could be wild this year--no telling who could win any game. Here's hoping Duke fine tunes things through their three remaining nonconference games and is ready to go for conference competition.

Will be interesting to see the polls next week. This week Duke got 10 first place votes, UVA 8, and unc 4. Duke had 416 points, UVA 415, and unc 414. Unc has been crushing it. Where will those 8 UVA votes go? Although the only poll that matters is the one after Memorial Day. Dano is still fine tuning the machine, with two new starters at midfield today.

37 goals is bad sportsmanship. Once you get to 20 or 25, you pass it around and work the shot clock, especially in the fourth quarter. I know that with faceoffs a team can theoretically come back quickly from a bit deficit but that is ridiculous. But it is UNC...
