Who the hell is Mule? Why was he in the game? Wow!
I changed channels when down 12-7 also. Turned it back on at 12-11, couldn't not check. This team has been like this all year.

Seriously, is this team just designed to produce coronaries in its fans? Two games won in overtime when the opponent had an apparently winning goal disallowed? I can't take it.
I kinda hope we don't see this team again, despite Danowski's impressive tournament record against Corrigan. They have owned us for at least 6 out of 8 quarters. If we do, though, I sure hope we see the offense running through Nakeie early and often instead of waiting until Duke is down many goals--he seemed to be the only person fast enough/tough enough to reliably beat his ND defender.

How awesome was that?!?!? Thought about turning it off. SO glad I didn't.

this very good inside lacrosse article says they practiced the play all week...the execution was marvelous. As Quint mentioned, even though it's tough to execute, getting inside the tough ND defense is imperative, and they worked that play to perfection.

ha, the experts can reply, but one thing is an overabundance of talent...Coach Dano has mentioned many times how we have a lot of guys sitting who have the ability to play.*...Mule is very small and quick, I suspect that's his ticket to being a man up specialist..he caught that pass and shot quite nicely...
* we were talking the other day about guys like Joey Manown who used to play a lot...Joe Robertson's brother, xfer from Princeton, doesn't play nearly as much as he did at Princeton, the list goes on and on...three of our grad transfers hardly play as far as I can tell...

He jumped, then caught the ball and fired it home before he hit the ground. It was a great shot, needing quick hands and good control, even from such short range. If you're gonna get in the game for just six seconds, those are exactly the six seconds you want to have: five to run on and get to the middle, and one to leap, catch, and shoot. What a play!
We've had a lot of posts and commentary just recently about the Duke Basketball "Miracle Moment" vs Maryland in 2001 with an amazing comeback in the final minute and an Overtime win.
This lacrosse game seemed a lot like that -- a furious late comeback with 2 goals in the last minute, and then a key play for the win in Overtime. In both games, Duke coaches and players stayed cool and made great plays to achieve an improbable win. Jason Williams, meet Michael Sowers. Amazing game.
That was insane, once again! These OT games are going to age us all prematurely...
