Unranked in the AP poll this week: Duke, UNCheat, Kansas, Kentucky, UCLA, Michigan State, Indiana, Arizona . . . . In fact, the 13 winningest programs of all time are all unranked.
Crazy times.

I’m sure there are lots of college basketball fans happy about this state affairs. Pretty crazy though.
Adding UCLA & Indiana to mix, the only other time the Big 6 Blue Bloods were unranked at the same time was 12/19/1961.
Taking UCLA & Indiana out of the mix, the answer remains 12/19/1961.
That said, the AP only ranked a Top Ten in those days.
That week had a tie for #10, so 11 teams were ranked.
Kentucky appeared to have been the first team listed in Others Receiving Votes meaning they could possibly have been #12.
Duke possibly would have been #16. Kansas & Indiana also received votes, but were much further down the list.
UCLA & UNC were nowhere to be found that week.
Having fans obviously makes a difference, at least for that group.
Q "Why do you like Duke, you didn't even go there." A "Because my art school didn't have a basketball team."
