Luck Decock reports that Jim Phillips, currently the AD ‘at Northwestern, will be the next ACC Commissioner.

From reading his BIO (found an article outlining his history when he was hired at Northwestern), he doesn't have ANY ACC ties.
I'm sure he's qualified, but it seems strange that there wasn't at least an equally eligible person within the conference.

Q "Why do you like Duke, you didn't even go there." A "Because my art school didn't have a basketball team."
Anyone But Swafford
After the decades-worth of Swofford crony-fix for the cheating bastards down the road, I’m happy to have an outsider as the Commish.
Welcome.
Has the statute of limitations run out for UNC's massive improprieties??? Wm. Barr is now free to defend the Heels if so...
My daughter is a recent Northwestern grad and because of that I have followed Northwestern sports for the last seven years. I think Phillips has done a good job overall in running a sports program for a university that is a lot like Duke. Accordingly, I'm very optimistic about this pack.
On PTI yesterday they discussed this a bit. Michael Wilbon is a serious Northwestern guy and he had nothing but good things to say about Jim Phillips.
For what it's worth, NW is a nice place to visit for a football game...
